They say that "Into each life, a little rain must fall." And sometimes that's true even while vacationing here in the Sunshine State. So what to do when the weather isn't cooperating with your plans to spend the day soaking up sunshine on the beach? Rest easy, in Panama City Beach there are plenty of options for the whole family.

Catch a movie at the Grand Theater in Pier Park! Is this a super original idea? No way, but it's popular for a reason. With 3D and IMAX movies, and digital projection for every screening, there's no better place to see a blockbuster film.

Arcades aplenty - Choose from old school classics like pinball, Skee Ball, and air hockey, or spend your quarters on the newest video games with amazing graphics and heart-pumping excitement - Panama City Beach has plenty of arcades to choose from, including those at Rock'It Lanes, FunLand, Race City, and Cobra Adventure Park.

Indoor Putt Putt (Blacklight Mini Golf) - If the liquid sunshine is keeping your from enjoying a round of conventional mini golf, you can head indoors and try out Blacklight Mini Golf at Race City.

Gulf World Marine Park - You know who doesn't mind a little rain? The dolphins and sea lions at Gulf World Marine Park! The shows still go on, and covered seating keeps you dry (unless a dolphin splashes you). Other shows and exhibits are completely protected from the rain.

Bowling or Roller-skating - Rock'It Lanes has a roller rink as well as bowling alleys and an arcade. There's a section reserved for adults, and plenty of snacks for everyone.

Not Your Typical Museums - WonderWorks offers an interactive experience, with rides that include the chance to experience hurricane strength winds, navigate a ropes course, play laser tag, and more! Across the street, Ripley's Believe it or Not exhibits exotic, unusual, or downright weird artifacts in Ripley's Odditorium. Closer to Pier Park, at the Museum of the Man in the Sea, visitors will discover some of the most significant artifacts ever developed to help man explore the depths of the ocean, many of which were developed right here in Panama City Beach as part of the U.S. Navy Dive School's operations.

Relax to the Max - Treat yourself to a relaxing spa day! Have you ever had a vacation that left you needing another vacation? Treat yourself to a day at the spa, and you'll feel relaxed, refreshed, and energized.

Be fit, have fun - For the kids, Gymnastics Plus offers a summer day camp that allows drop ins, and the Friday "Fun Night" more than lives up to its name, as the gym offers a rock wall, trampolines, foam pits, a cargo net, and more! For the adults, several local gyms sell day passes, and you may enjoy checking out a yoga, aerobics, or Zumba class while you're there.

Futuristic Fun - Stop by Emerald Coast Mirror Maze & Laser Craze for a light and sound show that will twist your mind, and a Pirate's Quest Laser Tag experience that you won't ever forget.

You were gonna get wet anyway... - If it's not raining too hard and there's no lightning nearby, there's no reason you can't check out the Frank Brown Park Aquatic Center, complete with an Olympic-sized lap pool and diving area, along with a 5,000 square foot splash park. For even more wet fun, bring your family to Shipwreck Island Waterpark, where you'll find thrilling waterslides, a lazy river to float, a wave pool, a whitewater tubing ride, and more! Hey, you were gonna get wet anyway, right? (Just call before heading over to make double sure they'll be open.)

Wine Tasting - If you're over 21, why not try a unique wine tasting? Panama City Beach has two wineries to choose from, Seabreeze Winery and the Panama City Beach Winery, each offering a personalized wine tasting experience, and a wide selection of wines. Tell your friends it's educational!

Board Games - The old standby is classic quality family entertainment, and you can pick up a board game from most department stores for about the price of a pizza, and enjoy hours of entertainment.
