Pirates of the High Seas GeoTour

Panama City Beach Geocaching Tour

Panama City Beach has a new geocaching trail, offering a pirate-themed GeoTour of the World's Most Beautiful Beaches that kicks off as part of the Pirates of the High Seas Fest over Columbus Day weekend, and will remain active throughout the year.

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Join the 6 million geocahcers worldwide as you take part in the Panama City Beach Pirates of the High Seas GeoTour and travel throughout beautiful Panama City Beach.

As you hunt for your treasure, you will journey the very path that Capt. Dominique Youx traveled when he hid his personal treasure. Caches are located throughout Panama City Beach, and clues in the caches will help you complete a treasure map that will ultimately lead you to the treasure of Capt. Dominique Youx! Each cache will also include various articles of pirate gear you can wear as you continue on your journey.

Use the grid sheet (available here) to start your hunt.
