PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.- October 4, 2018- Visit Panama City Beach recently took home multiple wins at the Florida Festivals and Events Association’s (FFEA) 2018 SUNsational Awards. Visit Panama City Beach won first place PR/Media campaign, first place Promotional Poster and third place Outdoor Signage, all for its Beach Home for the Holidays campaign. In addition, Visit Panama City Beach’s Sports and Special Events Operations Manager Patrick Stewart was honored by the organization as an Emerging Leader. The SUNsational Awards program recognizes members’ innovation, individuality and creative collaboration across three budget levels. A total of 140 events were submitted for consideration for the awards, which were announced during FFEA’s 24th annual convention and trade show.
“Beach Home for the Holidays is one of the marquee annual events on our calendar and we’re thrilled to be honored for our promotional efforts,” shared Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe. “Every year our entire team puts in so much hard work to make Thanksgiving weekend one of the highlights of our year, with families coming from near and far to make new traditions together in Panama City Beach. I also want to congratulate Patrick Stewart for being named an Emerging Leader. Patrick is a rising star and has been a huge part of our success in recent years.”
Nominations were judged by a blue-ribbon panel representing media outlets, printing companies, website designers, photographers, promotional marketing professionals and social media experts. “The SUNsational awards have recognized and celebrated the talents of our members for more than two decades,” said Executive Director of FFEA Suzanne Never. “We’re proud of our members and their events - and excited to recognize them in this way each year.”
