It's one of our favorite days of the year, National Beach Day! We'd love for you to celebrate with us, so grab your bathing suit and beach chair and head on down to Panama City Beach. Whether you're here on National Beach Day, or plan on coming here in the future, there's many ways you can celebrate. Here's a few of our favorite ways to enjoy our 27 miles of white-sand beaches.

Have a Relaxing Beach Day

Let's be honest, laying on the beach with only the sounds of the waves lapping the shore and seagulls squawking overhead is one of the most peaceful things you can do. If you want to enjoy a day of nothing but laying on the beach, make sure to bring the beach essentials like sunscreen, snacks, a beach chair, umbrella and maybe even a good book to read. Choose one of our 96 beach access points to enjoy your day.

Get Active

There's many ways to stay active while having fun on your beach vacation. If you want to stay in the water where it's cool, you can rent a paddle board, kayak or canoe for a unique Gulf view. You can even try out a sport, like beach volleyball or throwing a frisbee back and forth with a friend. Places like Schooners, Sharky's and the City Pier have volleyball nets on the beach so you can join in on a game or start your own. 

Dine by the Gulf

Panama City Beach offers a variety of Gulf-view restaurants that provide a dining experience like no other. Restaurants like Runaway Island and Sharky's are known for their amazing views of the beach. You can also hit The Grand Marlin for a bay side view. Watch the Sunset 

One of the most beautiful views in Panama City Beach is the sun setting over the Gulf. Staying at the beach a little longer than normal is worth it to catch the sunset. You can bring a blanket and some food to have a romantic dinner on the beach while the sun sets behind you, or you can eat at one of our many restaurants that overlook the water. For a unique sunset experience, grab dinner or a drink from Schooners and wait for the sun to set, once it does, they'll fire off their sunset cannon to celebrate another beautiful day in PCB.
