The Furry 5K
The Humane Society is tying in their special Furry 5K event around the Easter festivities for 2019. This April 7th at 8 a.m., you can bring the whole family along for a casual 5K run to support the ongoing mission of finding homes for the homeless animals. Surround yourself by love-filled dogs and cats at Frank Brown Park, with single person tickets at $30 and team rates available.
Schooners Beach Easter Egg Hunt
Schooners Restaurant has hosted their Little Locals Beach Easter Egg Hunt for many years, and it is likely one of the most popular Easter activities for families that you will find. Kids of all ages can receive prizes of candy, gift certificates, and more for their spirited collecting. Hunts are divided by age, including 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-9. There will be breakfast served from 9am-11am on Saturday, April 20, with brunch starting at 11am, featuring some fun drink specials for the adults. Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. The event this year will feature a massive Easter-themed sandcastle and is scheduled for April 19th-21st.
Easter Egg Hunt at Frank Brown Park
Saturday, April 20th is a free Easter Egg hunt for the kids at Frank Brown Park! The Easter Bunny will be hiding 10,000 eggs year and will be available for pictures following the egg hunt. The event will start at 10am with children ages 10 and under welcome to join. Don’t forget the Easter basket and camera!
After sunrise service on Easter Sunday, head over to one of the many restaurants below that will be open for brunch and dinner. There’s nothing like a delicious meal to cap a wonderful holiday weekend!
