It seems like there's always something fun happening in Panama City Beach, with year-round events and no shortage of new places to explore - In 2014, that's more true than ever, with a host of new restaurants, stores and shopping centers, and even some very interesting new events that will bring more great music and festivals to the beach than ever before!

So what's new, pussycat? Well, a lot. For music lovers, 2014 featured the first ever "Americana at the Lodge" series; you'll also get to enjoy the premier of the Great American Blues Festival in August, followed by an (as yet un-named) Trop-Rock themed music festival on September 12, 13, & 14. All of this is brand new for 2014!

But wait... there's more. At the end of May and beginning of June, there will be a paintball competition called "Minor League Paintball," and all summer long there will be a 5k every Wednesday as part of the Cool Summer Series 5k. Another new addition is a lacrosse tournament called the Panama City Beach Lax Blast.

If you're the type who never wants to leave the beach, you'll especially appreciate the addition of some new beachfront dining options (‘cause you gotta eat), including Runaway Island Beach Bar & Grill at 14521 Front Beach Road, and a newly redesigned, reopened, and expanded Harpoon Harry's at 12627 Front Beach Road. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in PCB has a great view of the Gulf of Mexico, and just revamped their food and drink menu (although you can still get a signature "Cheeseburger in Paradise"). Just off the beach, but still accessible by boat, Bud & Alley's is opening a Panama City Beach location at the Lighthouse Marina (5323 North Lagoon Drive).

Miracle Strip at Pier Park has moved a few hundred yards to a new location, and with the new location comes about a dozen new rides, including rollercoasters and eateries among the attractions.

Pier Park North is opening this year, too, which means an extra 370,000 square feet of shopping space (that ought to hold you), and there are new stores opening in Pier Park as well, including a Dave & Busters.

There's more, of course, but that's a heck of a start, right? And who says everything has to be new, anyway? We're keeping the events you've come to know and love, and the beach is just as picture perfect and amazing as it's always been! There really is always something to do in PCB, and it just keeps getting better.
