Paul Brent was born in Oklahoma and raised in Southern California. He studied art and architecture at The University of California at Berkeley and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the College of Environmental Design. In 1969, he moved to Florida where he now resides with his wife, Lana Jane.
In 1983, Paul Brent was elected into the membership of the National Watercolor Society, the seventh artist from Florida to be so honored. The artist is also a signature member of the Southern and Florida Watercolor Societies, along with election into the Society of Illustrators in New York.
The artist's work is displayed in many public and private collections. He has received numerous awards and international recognition for his unique style, color and composition. Paul Brent's work has been exhibited in such venues as the Meridian Museum of Art, Meridian MS; Winsor Newton, New York, NY; Deland Museum of Art, Deland, FL; Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL; Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson, MS; San Bernardino County Museum, Redlands, CA; Mesa College Fine Arts Gallery, Grand Junction, CO and The Woodruff Art Center, Atlanta, GA.
National, as well as international manufacturers, have selected Mr. Brent's work to appear on numerous products, such as home furnishings, linens, jewelry and stationary. In addition, the artist has original oils, watercolors, prints and giclee prints and canvases in many fine art galleries and shops throughout the United States and internationally.
