All the reasons that “Where to Retire” Magazine has selected Panama City Beach the top place to retire for 2012 are the same reasons it is a great place to visit for the winter.

The Panama City Beach CVB will once again launch its discount program under a new name and look. The Real.Fun.Beach Club card will get you the same discounts that you have come to enjoy under the Suncard program. Panama City Beach winter residents can use their free Real.Fun.Beach Club card throughout the area for value added programs, winter travel deals and discounts at participating restaurants, hotels, and other area attractions and events. Stop into the Visitor Center and pick up yours today! 

Winter Resident Appreciation Days

The Panama City Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau is celebrating Winter Guests this season. Winter residents are treated to complimentary coffee, donuts and giveaways.

January 13—Chili Cook-off, Senior Center 11 AM-1 PM
Bring your recipe box! The Senior Center will be the location for this new cook-off series. Prizes for the best traditional or non-traditional chilis will be awarded. $250, $150 and $100 are good reason to perfect your recipe. Admission for the event will be $5 and each person will be provided 5 tickets to place their vote. All proceeds will benefit the Senior Center.

The Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting a Beach-Themed Senior Prom complete with tunes from the 50’s and 60’s, twist and shag contests and our very own King and Queen with their court. Nominations will be given by friends and family via submissions on our website. The King and Queen will be awarded an amazing prize package that includes airline tickets for 2 friends or family members to join them for a weekend along with $500 spending money, use of a limo, keys to the city and topped off with crowns and special flowers to celebrate this wonderful event. All entries should be submitted by January 23rd at 5:00 PM.
 
Sweets for your Sweetie is the theme for our Valentine’s Day cook-off. From cookie to cakes and all things scrumptious take your best shot and aim for the win. Prizes for the best offerings $250, $150 and $100 are good reason to perfect your recipe. Admission for the event will be $5 and each person will be provided 5 tickets to place their vote. All proceeds will benefit the Senior Center.

Golf Events for January and February
Throughout the months of January and February the Panama City Beach golf courses will have mystery challenges and events throughout the winter. Look for more information to follow on these activities in the coming weeks.
