The skies will come alive in Panama City Beach at the destination’s inaugural Gulf Coast Salute Air Show, taking place May 3-5 at Russell-Fields City Pier. The event is set to bring an exciting lineup of spectacular aerial displays, thrilling performances, and entertainment for all ages to Panama City Beach.

 

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host the 2024 Gulf Coast Salute Air Show in Panama City Beach,” said Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe. “This event welcomes aviation enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking for a memorable, patriotic weekend along our 27 miles of turquoise waters and white sand beaches.”

 

The Gulf Coast Salute Air Show holds special significance as a tribute to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, and attendees will have the opportunity to honor and support military personnel past and present. Pilots will have a practice day on Friday, May 3, and will fly on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All three flight days are open to the public.

 

 In addition to vendor booths lining the area in front of the pier, CAF RISE ABOVE will present two RISE ABOVE short films on a fully functioning mobile movie theater at the event. The compelling films tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASP, highlighting the obstacles both groups overcame to serve their country during WWII. Sponsored by Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, this exhibit will bring a unique element to the already extraordinary event. Event vendors will be set up across from Margaritaville, including an Air Force recruitment booth.

 

Please note that sections of Front Beach Road from Powell Adams to West Park Drive will be closed during the hours of the show, so please plan on heavy traffic.
