PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL – The annual Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest will once again drop anchor in Panama City Beach October 10–12, 2025, calling visitors of all ages to don their best pirate or Renaissance garb and embark on a free weekend voyage of swashbuckling fun. For three days, the destination will come alive with fireworks, live mermaid shows, a fire circus, parades, and more high-seas revelry.
New this year, little buccaneers can embark on their own adventure at the expanded Kid’s Zone: The Lil’ Swashbuckler’s Playdeck. This immersive area features caricature artists, foam hats and swords, coloring stations, and friendship bracelet making—guaranteeing hands-on fun for the whole crew.
“We can’t wait to raise the sails again for this year’s Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest,” said Dan Rowe, President and CEO of Visit Panama City Beach. “From the expanded Kid’s Zone to the full lineup of entertainment, it’s a weekend of adventure the whole family can enjoy, all with that signature Real. Fun. Beach spirit.”
This unique festival pays tribute to the legendary pirates who once sailed the Gulf of Mexico and raided the Emerald Coast, revealing the story of Dominique Youx and his krewe of loyal buccaneers who defended Panama City Beach from invaders seeking to seize its treasures in the early 1800s. Guests can relive these tales through storytelling, lively performances, and high-spirited adventures.
The Renaissance portion of the fest transports attendees back in time, where knights and gentry fill the streets with merriment. A fan-favorite returning this year is the Knights at the Beach Tournament, a real-life duel of steel that promises thrills for all ages.
Adding to the immersive experience, the festival welcomes back the Pirates of the White Sands, the official pirates of Panama City Beach. Led by Captain Ransom (Del) Mayhem (Mcrea), this dedicated crew volunteer their time every year, bringing a living history encampment to life, complete with photo opportunities, music, interactions with pirates and games that transport guests to the days when buccaneers ruled the seas.
