Firefly

Firefly is a fine dining establishment where you can enjoy a first-class meal in your casual clothing and still have a white tablecloth experience to rival the best—although you can dress up and not be out of place either. Try the she crab soup, stuffed filet mignon or seasonal gulf fish, and make sure to finish your meal with a flaming crème brûlée and ice wine.

Sisters of the Sea & The Dive Bar

This mermaid-themed restaurant has a swimming pool out back where you can find mermaids and even get in and swim with them. Southern classics and coastal favorites are on the menu with Siren’s Song—steamed shrimp, scallops, crab claws and mussels in a garlic and white wine broth—being a standout, along with the deep fried strawberries.

David’s New Orleans Style Sno-Balls

The unsuspecting name of this restaurant might you lead you to dismiss it as a dessert-only spot, but you’d be missing out. Along with the 47 flavors to choose from for your towering New Orleans style sno-ball, there are po’ boys and muffulettas packed with meat. The roast beef po’ boy is consistently cited as surprisingly impressive.

Saltwater Grill

Notable for its 25,000-gallon saltwater aquarium filled with tropical fish, Saltwater Grill is a favorite pick for celebrations in Panama City Beach. Seafood entrées include grilled red snapper and seared tuna, and there’s also the option of selecting a live Maine lobster from the tank—flown in twice a week for guaranteed freshness.

Another Broken Egg Cafe

Brunch isn’t just for the weekends at Another Broken Egg Cafe. The restaurant serves up breakfast, brunch, and lunch every day until 2 p.m. Brunch specialties include chicken and waffles, shrimp n’ grits and crab cake benedict. Plus, there are bloody marys and mimosas by the pitcher.

Dee’s Hangout

Coastal cuisine and Cajun-inspired cooking come together to tasty results at Dee’s Hangout. Chef Dee himself is behind all of the dishes that’ll transport you to the bayou. Daily specials are listed on a chalkboard, and you can’t go wrong with the customer-favorite smoked tuna dip, fried catfish étouffée or jambalaya.

Dusty’s Oyster Bar & Eatery

Come as you are to this no-frills PCB dive bar. Their motto might describe the fare here as “lousy food,” but locals and visitors alike will tell you it is the opposite. Whether you get your oysters baked, fried or raw, you’ll love the local bar atmosphere with the walls and ceiling covered in dollar bills.
