PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla., December 11, 2018 – Panama City Beach is welcoming winter residents to the destination’s 27 miles of sugar white sand beaches and turquoise green waters this January.             “Each winter, we are thrilled to welcome many visitors from the north who are a true part of our Panama City Beach community,” shares Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe. “This season we have exciting events and values catering to travelers wishing to create memories. We also want to express our gratitude to our loyal visitors and thank everybody for the support they have provided to our community after Hurricane Michael.”

Not-to-be-missed are the destination’s annual Homecoming Dance and Social at Laketown Wharf on Wednesday, January 23 and seventh annual Winter Resident Senior Prom on Wednesday, February 13.  A chance for guests to get out their dancing shoes, this highly-anticipated prom is held at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort and draws hundreds of visitors year after year.

Winter residents will love Panama City Beach’s Winter Resident Appreciation Days, offering complimentary coffee, donuts and giveaways at the Lyndell Center on January 18, February 8 and 22, 2019. Everyone is encouraged to stop by for a chance to mingle with friends both old and new while learning about the seasonal activities taking place in and around Panama City Beach.

Avid winter golfers have another reason to hit the links with Panama City Beach’s Mystery Golf Challenges. Players of all skill levels are given the chance to win prizes, chime in on what they would like to do or see at local golf courses and just enjoy the excitement of a little bit of mystery around the next dogleg.

The Winter Resident Grand Finale is a farewell and appreciation event for the winter residents who choose Panama City Beach as their home away from home. There is no better way to conclude the season than with this annual celebration, held at Laketown Wharf on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.
