PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla., June XX, 2018 – Visit Panama City Beach is pleased to announce that its award-winning television series, “Chasin’ The Sun,” has been renewed for a fourth season and will premiere in January 2019 on Discovery Channel. “Chasin’ The Sun” is an award-winning fishing and coastal lifestyle television program that showcases the diverse angling, diving, and cultural opportunities found in and around the emerald green waters of Panama City Beach.

“Chasin’ The Sun” debuted in 2016 on Sportsman Channel with 13 original episodes then moved to Destination America and NBC Sports Network for its second season. The show’s third season, which concludes on June 30, was its first on the Discovery Channel. Panama City Beach offers abundant inshore, nearshore and offshore opportunities for anglers of all skill levels from its picturesque piers and directly from the sugar-white sands of its 27 miles of pristine beachfront.

“Discovery Channel has provided a wonderful platform to showcase many aspects of our destination in addition to our abundant fishing opportunities, and we’re thrilled to renew with them for a fourth season,” says Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe. “We’re excited to see what the next season brings and look forward to the opportunity to share the unique culture that makes our beach a year-round family destination.”
