PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA., - Bridging the gulf between rock ‘n roll and classical music, the Panama City POPS Orchestra performs Windborne's Music of The Eagles at Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater in beautiful Panama City Beach, Fla. on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The concert will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
The performance is a perfect chance for concert-goers to experience their favorite Eagles' songs backed by a full orchestra at Panama City Beach's spectacular Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater, a $2.6 million, 7,500-person open-air venue which opened in March 2013.
"The new amphitheater is a true gem, where locals and visitors alike can enjoy amazing performances like this one, while taking advantage of our destination's incredible outdoor surroundings," says Dan Rowe, president and CEO of the Panama City Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Comprised of 65 musicians, The Panama City POPS Orchestra is well known for its dynamic performances of classical and current music. Backing rock musicians performing the music of the Eagles, the orchestra will be led by guest conductor Brent Havens and feature vocalists including Panama City Beach local Terry Brock (also a former vocalist for the rock band Kansas), Glenn Delaune (38 Special, Foghat, Kansas) and John Hines (The Hines Brother's Band).
"The music itself is one thing, but these singers, along with the background singers, more than capture the spirit of the original songs," says Havens.
