Bump, set, and spike your way to a fun-filled getaway with family and friends in Panama City Beach. Volleyball is a popular local sport and is one of many beach day activities you’ll find along the 27-mile stretch of beach on the Gulf Coast. Here, the sand sets the scene and adds to the challenge of any game.

Sandy Locales

From sand to beach volleyball courts at local parks and beaches, PCB is full of volleyball attractions, perfect for a family tournament or a pick-up game.

On the east side of the Russell-Fields City Pier are nearly a dozen volleyball courts directly on the beach. These courts are available to the public and for tournament rentals. After a day of volleyball fun, grab a bite to eat at nearby Hook’d Pier Bar & Grill or cross Front Beach Road for a large selection of restaurants, shops, and attractions at Pier Park

Frank Brown Park is a premier sports facility and the largest park in Panama City Beach, featuring over 200 acres of outdoor recreation. The park is home to sand volleyball courts and other courts for tennis and basketball and soccer and baseball fields.

Sporty Accommodations

If you plan to center your vacation around volleyball or would like to play a game or two while in town, keep that in mind when booking a place to stay in PCB. There are hotels, motels, and resorts with volleyball courts on or near the premises.

Consider a stay at beachfront Dunes of Panama Vacation Rentals, where you’ll find several courts for volleyball, among those for tennis, basketball, and pickleball. Or the Seahaven Beach Hotel, where guests can access beach volleyball courts and water sports like parasailing. Even campgrounds, like Racoon River Campground, feature sand courts.

Dine & Play

Many beachfront restaurants offer experiences beyond food and feature fun activities like volleyball.

Before or after your meal, enjoy a pick-up game of volleyball on the sand beyond the deck of Barefoot Hide-A-Way Grill, which also features regular live music and a beach playground. There’s also Sharky’s Beachfront Restaurant with a Tiki bar and live entertainment and Schooners Last Local Beach Club, which hosts a sunset celebration with a cannon fire every night.

Wherever you choose to play a tournament or pick-up game, PCB has a beach or sand court with your name on it.
