World Ocean’s Day is a global day of celebration in honor of the beautiful ocean that connects us all from different parts of the world with a goal of encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean and focusing on preventing plastic pollution.
Celebrate the day on Tuesday, June 8th by picking up trash when you're on the beach, or finding a group to enjoy the water with!
Although World Ocean's Day is only one day of the year, every day we try to protect our beaches. Panama City Beach is known for having the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches," and we want to keep it that way for the enjoyment of everyone! For this reason, the "Leave No Trace" ordinance was issued for Panama City Beach in 2012. Simply put: Anything you bring to the beach with you should also leave the beach with you.
The Leave No Trace ordinance is currently in effect and is active year-round. To learn more about our ordinance, click here.
Please do your part to protect and maintain the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches!"
